WALKING UPHILL

Suffering feels a bit like a detox - particularly painful because we don’t often choose it- but the positive side is that it often brings a wonderfully clarifying perspective...

Hear our story from both the caregiver's perspective and from the one needing care. While we are climbing the same mountain our experiences often vary.

"And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted. And I will make all my mountains a road, and my highways shall be raised up."

Isaiah 49: 11

Our "WHY"?

Hi!

Life looks a lot different from this pictures on the left, but this feels close to the time when our life forever shifted.

Circumstance, by means of a terminal diagnosis, called into question our priorities, dreams, beliefs, relationships, attitudes, trust... and future.

At 35, Justin received an ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease) diagnosis two months before our son, Benjamin, was born. Justin and Lori were married 5 years and Lori had just shifted careers to make space for more kids, and a new house flipping business with Justin.

But, some quirky symptoms turned into a devastating diagnosis, and we have been forced to reevaluate much of life through a lens of limitations, while trying to explore new possibilities for our crew.

They say "hindsight is 20/20" and while most lessons need to be learned personally and often the hard way, we want to share some of our moments of clarity that have been bought with our tears and pray that it helps orient you to truth.

XO,

Justin + Lori
